Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on public policy issues affecting local infrastructure and community development.
- Prepare detailed reports, briefing documents, and legislative recommendations for city officials and municipal boards.
- Coordinate with inter-agency task forces to ensure seamless implementation of government initiatives and compliance standards.
- Manage community outreach programs to gather public feedback and improve city service delivery.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations regarding environmental and construction projects.
- Oversee the budget allocation and financial tracking for specific departmental capital projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in government, public administration, or a relevant industry.
- Strong understanding of local government structures, legislative processes, and public sector operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and government-specific reporting software.
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and a clean driving record.
