Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals
- Develop persuasive grant proposals and applications exceeding $1M annually
- Manage relationships with 50+ current and potential funders
- Coordinate grant reporting and compliance documentation
- Maintain accurate funding pipeline in Salesforce CRM
- Collaborate with program staff to design fundable projects
- Analyze funding trends and recommend strategic adjustments
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with nonprofits
- Proven track record of securing $500K+ in annual grants
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field
- Expertise in Detroit's nonprofit ecosystem preferred
- Advanced proficiency with grant management software
- Exceptional writing and editing skills for complex narratives
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and impact measurement
