Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and pursue federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals
- Develop and write persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents
- Collaborate with program staff to gather project data and impact metrics
- Manage grant application processes including budgets, timelines, and compliance requirements
- Cultivate relationships with foundation program officers and funding partners
- Maintain accurate grant records in CRM systems and prepare progress reports
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional grant writing experience with proven success rate
- Portfolio demonstrating at least $5M in secured grants within the last 3 years
- Expert knowledge of federal grant processes (SAM.gov, Grants.gov)
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong analytical abilities for budget development and financial reporting
- Experience with nonprofit CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Little Green Light)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
