Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational mission
- Develop compelling grant proposals with compelling narratives and measurable impact metrics
- Manage grant application process from initial inquiry to final submission
- Build and maintain relationships with foundation program officers and funding partners
- Prepare program budgets and financial narratives for grant submissions
- Track grant compliance and prepare interim/final reports for funders
- Maintain accurate funding pipeline database and reporting systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with $100k+ secured funding
- Proven success with federal, state, and foundation grant applications
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Strong research and analytical abilities for funding opportunity identification
- Experience with nonprofit financial management and budget development
- Proficiency in grant management software (e.g., GrantStation, Salesforce NPSP)
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ successfully funded grant proposals
