Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private foundation grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop compelling grant proposals, budgets, and reports that articulate program impact and financial needs
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and funding partners through strategic outreach
- Collaborate with program teams to gather data, success metrics, and case studies
- Manage a portfolio of 15-20 active grants with 95%+ submission success rate
- Stay current on funding trends, policy changes, and competitive landscape
- Maintain accurate grant calendars and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Communications, Nonprofit Management, English) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with proven track record
- Portfolio showcasing $5M+ successfully secured grants across diverse sectors
- Expertise in federal, state, and foundation grant applications (e.g., HUD, CDC, Community Foundation)
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex programs into persuasive narratives
- Proficiency in grant management software (e.g., GrantStation, Instrumentl)
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and impact measurement
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote setting
