Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop compelling grant proposals, budgets, and reports exceeding $5M annually
- Collaborate with program directors to translate impact into fundable narratives
- Manage 50+ active grant relationships and stewardship activities
- Maintain accurate grant databases and compliance documentation
- Mentor junior staff on grant development best practices
- Analyze funding trends and recommend strategic partnerships
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $1M+ track record
- Proven success securing federal grants (HRSA, SAMHSA) and private foundation funding
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- Expert knowledge of nonprofit accounting and budget development
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with portfolio samples required
- CFRE or GPC certification preferred
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and grant management software
- Strong analytical skills for impact measurement and reporting
