Responsibilities
- Research and identify strategic grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop, write, and submit high-impact grant proposals (federal, state, and private foundations)
- Collaborate with program teams to gather compelling data and success metrics
- Manage grant application processes including budgets, compliance documentation, and reporting
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential funders
- Create compelling case statements and program narratives for diverse audiences
- Track grant performance metrics and evaluate funding success rates
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of professional grant writing experience with healthcare or social service nonprofits
- Proven track record securing $500K+ annually in diverse funding streams
- Expertise in federal grant applications (HRSA, SAMHSA) and private foundation proposals
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with ability to translate technical data into compelling narratives
- Advanced proficiency in grant databases (Foundation Directory Online, Instrumentl)
- Strong project management skills with ability to meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and grant management software
