Responsibilities
- Research and secure $2M+ in annual grants from federal agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors
- Develop compelling narratives for complex proposals in education, healthcare, and sustainability sectors
- Manage full grant lifecycle: prospecting, writing, reporting, and stewardship relationships
- Analyze funding trends and align proposals with organizational strategic goals
- Mentor junior staff on best practices in grant compliance and narrative development
- Collaborate with program directors to ensure impactful budget alignment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful grant writing experience with $1M+ track record
- Proven expertise in federal grants (e.g., HUD, DOE) and major private foundations
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into compelling stories
- Certified Grant Writer (GPC) designation strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of Fresno County's philanthropic landscape
- Portfolio demonstrating 20+ successful grant awards
