Responsibilities
- Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors
- Develop and maintain relationships with funding partners through regular communication and reporting
- Manage grant application processes from initial research to final submission and reporting
- Analyze funding opportunities and align organizational needs with donor priorities
- Collaborate with program staff to gather impact data and storytelling elements
- Maintain accurate grant records in our CRM system and prepare progress reports
- Stay current on funding trends, policy changes, and best practices in grant writing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with proven success securing $500K+ annually
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives
- Strong research skills with experience identifying diverse funding sources
- Proficiency in grant management software (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, GrantStation)
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local grant regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing projects
- Portfolio demonstrating successful grant applications and secured funding
