Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private foundation funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals with 95%+ on-time submission rate
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and funders through strategic communication
- Manage grant reporting requirements and ensure compliance with funder guidelines
- Maintain accurate grant pipeline tracking in Salesforce CRM
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices and proposal development
- Analyze funding trends and recommend strategic adjustments to funding priorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $1M+ in secured funds
- Proven success with federal (SAM.gov) and foundation grant applications
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with portfolio of funded proposals
- Advanced proficiency in grant management software (e.g., GrantStation, Instrumentl)
- Deep knowledge of nonprofit finance and budget development
- Certified Grant Writer (GC) or Grant Professional (GPC) designation preferred
