Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports exceeding $1M annually
- Cultivate relationships with 50+ foundation/corporate stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-departmental input for program narratives and impact data
- Manage grant pipeline using Salesforce and grant management software
- Maintain compliance with funder reporting requirements and deadlines
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years professional grant writing experience with $5M+ secured
- Portfolio demonstrating success in education/healthcare funding
- Expertise in federal grant applications (SAM.gov, Grants.gov)
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce and grant management systems
- Exceptional analytical skills for budget development and impact metrics
- Certified Grant Writer (GPC) designation strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of California philanthropic landscape
