Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, narratives, and budgets for diverse funding sources
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and funding partners
- Manage grant reporting requirements and compliance documentation
- Maintain accurate grant pipeline tracking and forecasting systems
- Mentor junior staff on best practices in grant development
- Collaborate with finance and program teams to ensure budget alignment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with documented success securing $500K+ grants
- Portfolio demonstrating 15+ successful grant applications
- Expertise in federal (SAM.gov), state, and private foundation grant processes
- Advanced knowledge of nonprofit financial management and budget development
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and grant management software
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
