Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop persuasive grant proposals and reports exceeding $2M in annual funding goals
- Collaborate with program directors to translate complex initiatives into fundable narratives
- Manage 15+ active grant relationships with foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Maintain compliance with funder requirements and stewardship protocols
- Analyze funding trends and position organization for emerging opportunities
- Mentor junior staff on grant development best practices and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of proven grant writing success with $1M+ secured annually
- Portfolio demonstrating successful federal/state grant applications (HUD, SAMHSA, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce CRM and grant management software
- Exceptional storytelling skills with measurable impact documentation
- Deep knowledge of Baltimore's philanthropic landscape and funding priorities
- CFRE certification or equivalent professional development credentials
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing deadlines
