Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from federal agencies, foundations, and corporate sponsors
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports tailored to specific funder requirements
- Collaborate with program staff to gather program data, success stories, and financial information
- Manage a portfolio of 15-20 active grants with reporting deadlines and compliance requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with program officers and key stakeholders
- Track funding trends and provide strategic recommendations for funding diversification
- Maintain accurate grant records in our CRM database
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with demonstrated success
- Portfolio of 5+ successfully secured grants totaling $500k+
- Expertise in federal grant applications (e.g., SAM.gov, Grants.gov)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Experience with nonprofit financial management and budget development
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
