Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop and write high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports
- Collaborate with program teams to gather and synthesize program data
- Manage grant application calendars and ensure timely submission compliance
- Maintain relationships with funders and prepare stewardship reports
- Analyze funding trends and identify new partnership opportunities
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $500K+ secured annually
- Proven track record with government, foundation, and corporate funders
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with attention to detail
- Experience with grant databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation)
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Passion for social impact and nonprofit sector
- Portfolio of successfully funded proposals required
