Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and pursue relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and supporting documents that align with funder priorities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with program officers and funding partners
- Collaborate with program staff to gather project data and impact metrics
- Manage complex grant reporting requirements and compliance documentation
- Analyze funding trends and emerging opportunities to inform strategy
- Maintain accurate grant pipeline tracking in Salesforce
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $1M+ track record
- Proven success securing grants from diverse funding sources (government, corporate, foundation)
- Expertise in developing complex budgets and financial narratives
- Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities with portfolio samples
- Proficiency in grant databases (e.g., Instrumentl, Candid)
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations and understanding of 501(c)(3) requirements
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
