Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, and private sources
- Develop and write persuasive grant proposals and supporting documents
- Manage relationships with current and potential funding partners
- Prepare program budgets and financial narratives for grant applications
- Track grant compliance and reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate grant database and reporting systems
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Communications, Nonprofit Management, English)
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience
- Proven track record of securing $500,000+ in annual grant funding
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Strong research and analytical abilities
- Experience with nonprofit financial management and budgeting
- Familiarity with grant databases (e.g., GrantStation, Instrumentl)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
