Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, corporate, and private foundation sources
- Develop compelling, data-driven grant proposals that align with organizational goals
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders through professional communication and reporting
- Manage a portfolio of 15-20 active grants with strict adherence to deadlines and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with program staff to gather impact metrics and success stories
- Prepare grant budgets and financial narratives in coordination with finance team
- Conduct post-submission reporting and stewardship activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with documented success securing $500K+ annually
- Proven track record with federal, state, and foundation grants in health, education, or human services
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and outcome measurement
- Experience with grant databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation) and CRM systems
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
