Responsibilities
- Develop and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Research funding opportunities aligned with organizational mission and program goals
- Collaborate with program directors to design fundable project narratives and budgets
- Manage grant reporting requirements and steward relationships with funders
- Analyze funding trends and identify emerging opportunities in North Carolina
- Maintain accurate grant tracking databases and compliance documentation
- Mentor junior staff and train program teams on grant readiness protocols
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $100M+ secured
- Proven track record with federal grants (SAM.gov) and foundation proposals
- Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, English, or related field
- Expertise in budget development and indirect cost rate negotiation
- Certified Grant Professional (GPC) or equivalent preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven storytelling abilities
