- Research and identify new funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Develop and write persuasive grant proposals, reports, and supporting documents
- Collaborate with program teams to align funding requests with organizational goals
- Manage a portfolio of grants and ensure timely submission of all deliverables
- Maintain accurate records of grant applications and funding outcomes
- Build relationships with potential funders through professional communication and stewardship
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations for growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience
- Proven track record of securing $500,000+ in annual grant funding
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Experience with nonprofit financial management and budgeting
- Familiarity with Charlotte's philanthropic landscape preferred
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
