Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors
- Develop, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals aligned with organizational goals and funder priorities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective funders through regular communication and reporting
- Collaborate with program staff to gather impact data and narrative content for grant applications
- Manage grant reporting requirements and ensure compliance with funder guidelines
- Track funding pipeline and maintain accurate grant application calendars
- Analyze grant outcomes and recommend strategies to improve success rates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with demonstrated success securing $500k+ annually
- Expert knowledge of grant research databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation) and proposal development best practices
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and impact measurement
- Experience with nonprofit fundraising cycles and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Portfolio of successfully funded grant applications required
