Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events on federal networks to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Implement and maintain security controls and frameworks in accordance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with agency policies and federal regulations.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to federal personnel.
- Manage and maintain secure configurations for servers, applications, and workstations.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on security posture and incident analysis to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a federal contracting environment.
- Active Secret Clearance or higher is required.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network architectures, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and identity management protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
