Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of complex business requirements and translate them into effective technical specifications and system designs.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of software development projects, including planning, execution, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teamsâincluding developers, project managers, and external vendorsâto ensure project alignment and quality.
- Oversee system security protocols and ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA.
- Perform root cause analysis and performance tuning to resolve critical system issues and optimize application performance.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance to ensure best practices are followed across the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or a related IT role.
- Proven proficiency in SQL, Java, C#, and .NET frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
- Experience working within the public sector or government environment is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid Driverâs License is required for travel to various state facilities.
