Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure and IT systems across various city departments.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate new cloud technologies.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance assessments, and risk analyses.
- Train and mentor junior IT staff, while serving as a technical liaison for non-technical departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT systems administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST).
- Familiarity with government IT standards, compliance regulations, and public sector procurement processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment with strict deadlines.
