Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT projects within the state government framework.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure milestones are met on time and within scope.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadership to align project goals.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure business continuity.
- Implement and monitor project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Prepare detailed project reports and documentation for state auditors and compliance reviews.
- Mentor junior project managers and support the continuous improvement of the PMO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, specifically within the government or enterprise sector.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is highly required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar project management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of state procurement processes and compliance regulations.
