Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure and server environments to ensure high availability and security.
- Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring milestones are met within budget and scope.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple departments.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard sensitive county data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technological needs and recommend scalable solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance monitoring to optimize operational efficiency.
- Train junior staff and stakeholders on new technologies and system protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT project management.
- Valid professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Proven experience with network protocols, firewalls, and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
