Responsibilities
- System Architecture & Design: Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and software solutions for county operations.
- Project Management: Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve high-level technical issues, providing expert guidance to junior staff and internal departments.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard sensitive county data and ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders and government officials.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, or C#) and database management systems (SQL, Oracle).
- Certifications: Active certification such as CompTIA Security+, PMP, or AWS Solutions Architect is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex technical problems.
