Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of complex IT systems and software solutions for municipal operations.
- Conduct system analysis to identify requirements and recommend technical strategies to enhance city efficiency.
- Manage the maintenance and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Collaborate with city departments to translate technical needs into user-friendly digital tools.
- Mentor junior IT staff and conduct training sessions on new technologies and security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal IT regulations and data privacy standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems analysis, network administration, or a related government or public sector role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
- Proven experience managing cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various city locations as needed.
