Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical state IT systems and networks to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Lead technical projects from inception to deployment, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet strict government deadlines.
- Conduct regular system audits and security assessments to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for complex hardware and software issues across multiple departments.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all IT processes, procedures, and system architectures.
- Mentor junior IT staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or software development.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
