Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and software solutions to support state agency objectives.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and IT staff within the department.
- Ensure all systems comply with state and federal regulations, including data privacy and security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to maintain high availability and security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in information technology, systems analysis, or software development is mandatory.
- Experience working in a government or public sector environment is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or .NET, and database management systems (SQL).
- Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects and leading technical teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must possess strong ethical standards and a commitment to public service.
