Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level cybersecurity infrastructure to protect federal data assets.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents with urgency and precision.
- Lead penetration testing initiatives and advise senior leadership on remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security protocols into software development lifecycles.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to junior IT staff and government contractors.
- Manage encryption keys and ensure data sovereignty for sensitive federal records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CISSP.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Federal or State Government IT environments.
- Strong proficiency in network security protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, or FedRAMP compliant environments).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under strict compliance deadlines.
- U.S. Citizenship required for Federal clearance eligibility.
