Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the state network infrastructure.
- Enforce cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive state data.
- Lead and mentor junior IT staff on technical best practices and project lifecycles.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Manage software licensing, hardware procurement, and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or engineering.
- Professional certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, virtualization technologies, and cloud computing (Azure/AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
