Role Overview:
As an IT Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and security of our federal network. You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver reliable technology solutions that support the agency's mission.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and upgrade local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across federal facilities.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal security standards, including FedRAMP and NIST guidelines.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Perform system administration for Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and system backups.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT policies and technologies.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship and active Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT systems administration within the federal sector.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Cisco CCNA are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware configurations, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a high-security environment.
