Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex IT solutions for federal agency systems, ensuring alignment with VA strategic goals.
- Oversee the lifecycle of hardware and software assets, managing inventory and ensuring compliance with federal procurement regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive federal data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline IT processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports for internal review and regulatory audits.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret or Secret security clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in federal IT environments, systems administration, or software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ITIL framework.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
