Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and infrastructure.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for end-users across various departments.
- Conduct system audits, performance assessments, and capacity planning to optimize IT resources.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and incident reports in compliance with government standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or a related government role.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a government security clearance (if required).
