Responsibilities
- System Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, test, and deploy complex software applications and database systems to support agency operations.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex data requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions using SQL, Java, or other relevant programming languages.
- Project Management: Lead or participate in cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to state government standards and compliance regulations.
- Tech Support & Training: Provide advanced technical support to internal staff and conduct training sessions on new systems and software updates.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive state data.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems analysis, software development, or information technology support.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Java, .NET, or Python. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Government Experience: Experience working within a state or local government environment is a significant plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex technical issues.
