Responsibilities
- System Administration: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of local-area networks (LANs), wide-area networks (WANs), hardware, software systems, and peripherals.
- Security Management: Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
- Project Leadership: Lead IT projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues to minimize system downtime.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors to manage service contracts and ensure quality service delivery.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure all IT operations comply with state and federal regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in information systems, network administration, or IT project management.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or PMP are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in server administration, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with non-technical staff and executive leadership.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
