Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in delivering enterprise IT projects with budgets exceeding $5M
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
- Ensure compliance with Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) security frameworks and state regulations
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for technology solutions
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans for project deliverables
- Prepare executive dashboards and progress reports for legislative oversight committees
- Mentor junior project managers and cultivate best practices across the department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 7 years progressive IT project management experience in public sector
- Active PMP or PgMP certification with government project portfolio
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and enterprise project management tools
- Deep knowledge of Georgia's IT governance frameworks (GTA policies, SOX compliance)
- Proven success managing multi-million dollar budgets with zero variance
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across agency leadership and external partners
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal government security clearance
