Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for state-level IT modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Manage cross-functional teams of developers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver complex software solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, FISMA, and California Public Records Act requirements.
- Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate high-level stakeholder communication, including regular status reports to senior leadership and the California State Legislature.
- Implement Agile and Waterfall methodologies to optimize project delivery efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in a government or highly regulated industry environment.
- Proven experience managing large-scale enterprise software implementations or infrastructure projects.
- PMP, PgMP, or SAFe certification is strongly preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of federal and state procurement processes and compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must be a resident of California or willing to relocate.
