Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of medium to large-scale IT projects from initiation through closure.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies proactively.
- Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders and senior leadership effectively.
- Ensure all project deliverables adhere to state procurement policies and regulatory standards.
- Foster a collaborative environment with development teams, vendors, and business units.
- Utilize methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches to drive project success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Professional Project Management (PMP) or PgMP certification is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and IT governance frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and manage conflicting priorities.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana).
