Responsibilities
- Oversee the full project lifecycle (SDLC) for state IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic agency goals.
- Manage complex budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to guarantee on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Facilitate clear communication between technical teams, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to state regulations, cybersecurity protocols, and accessibility standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively to prevent scope creep or delays.
- Mentor junior project managers and support the development of team capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the public sector or government contracting.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is required.
- Strong proficiency with Agile methodologies, Jira, and MS Project.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical data for non-technical audiences.
