Responsibilities
- Lead complex IT projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with state strategic goals.
- Manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with California State standards and regulations.
- Communicate project status and performance metrics to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management within the public sector or government.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale software development or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL, PMP, or Prince2 methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
