Responsibilities
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with external vendors and government stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations using MS Project and JIRA.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate metrics to identify risks and issues early.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with state regulations and agency standards.
- Present regular progress reports to senior leadership and the Board of Regents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management within the public sector or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar PM tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and negotiate effectively.
