Responsibilities
- Lead System Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure solutions that support critical city operations.
- Project Management: Oversee complex IT projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with city strategic goals and Agile methodologies.
- Cybersecurity Stewardship: Implement and monitor advanced security protocols to protect sensitive municipal data against evolving cyber threats.
- Technical Support & Consultation: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing high-level technical guidance to city departments and resolving critical system outages.
- Innovation & Optimization: Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency and citizen engagement.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and deployment guides.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis, software development, or network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#, alongside strong knowledge of SQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Security Clearance: Must be eligible for a government security clearance.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Licensure: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, AWS Solutions Architect) are highly preferred.
