As a Senior IT Specialist, you will leverage your deep expertise in systems architecture and cybersecurity to deliver robust, scalable solutions for the government.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex federal IT systems, networks, and applications.
- Implement and monitor stringent security protocols to ensure data integrity and compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Lead technical teams in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network infrastructure issues.
- Conduct regular system audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scopes.
- Mentor junior staff members and provide technical guidance on best practices and emerging technologies.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or cybersecurity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, PMP, or DoD 8570 IAT Level II+ preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal regulations, including OMB Circular A-123, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53.
- Proven ability to work effectively in high-security, government contracting environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
