Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state cybersecurity regulations and security protocols.
- Lead a team of junior developers and technicians in troubleshooting and resolving critical technical issues.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee software licensing and procurement.
- Train staff on new technologies and best practices for system maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management or systems engineering within the government or public sector.
- Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and database management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearance.
