SecureState Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior IT Specialist to join our team supporting federal clients in the Colorado Springs area. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures for federal government clients.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with NIST and FedRAMP standards.
- Provide expert technical troubleshooting and Level 3 support for complex IT infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute IT modernization strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports.
- Assist in the migration of legacy systems to cloud-based solutions (AWS/Azure).
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency system outages.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT environments, specifically supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community clients.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA ticketing systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to brief senior leadership.
- Must be a US Citizen and willing to submit to a background investigation.
