Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end data analysis process, including data mining, cleaning, and statistical modeling, to support critical state initiatives.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Federal and Local agencies to define data requirements and solve complex business problems.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security compliance in accordance with government standards and regulations.
- Write clear, concise documentation and technical reports to communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences.
- Optimize SQL queries and data pipelines to improve system performance and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related technical role within the public sector or a large enterprise.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server) and Python (Pandas, NumPy). Strong working knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Visualization: Expert level experience creating visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with government data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA) and compliance standards.
