Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems supporting federal and state agency operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and OMB guidelines.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and implement robust security protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable IT solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members regarding cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party service providers for IT support.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.
Qualifications
- Citizenship Requirement: United States Citizenship is mandatory for this position.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or cybersecurity.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent DoD 8570 baseline certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Willingness to work in either North Carolina or Georgia (Hybrid/On-site options available).
