Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain 24/7 server infrastructure and critical tax processing applications.
- Execute nightly batch jobs, data migrations, and security backups to ensure business continuity.
- Respond to and resolve Level 2/3 technical incidents and service tickets during off-hours.
- Collaborate with day-shift engineering teams to document issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Perform system patching, updates, and compliance checks in accordance with state security standards.
- Analyze system logs and performance metrics to proactively identify potential security threats or bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in system administration, IT support, or technical operations.
- Must be available to work the rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and networking protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to obtain a State Agency Security Clearance (MUST be a US Citizen).
